Hey guys. In this post, I will explain what kinds of topics are made Global Announcements, Announcements, or Stickies.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Global Announcement - These topics are posted by administrators only, and contain important rules and/or information concerning the entire website. A global announcement has a copy of itself in every forum section. You should always read it before posting or doing anything on the site for the first time.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Announcement - These topics are posted by administrators only, and contain important rules and/or information for a specific forum section. In addition to reading any global announcements, you should read all announcements for a specific forum section before posting there for the first time.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Sticky - Unlike Global Announcements and Announcements, these topics are not necessarily strictly rules or information about a given forum section. Administrators can post these anywhere on the forum, moderators can post these in most places on the forum, and community guardians can post these in the Life Advice section. Staff members who have the permission to post a sticky in a certain forum section can also make someone's topic that was previously a regular, non-sticky topic sticky, even if it was not posted by a staff member. A sticky topic might be a temporary rule reminder posted by a staff member, or just a topic that we wanted to keep at the top of the forum page for different reasons.
