Global Rules

These rules apply everywhere on the site, including in every forum section and in user profiles. You should read these before posting, in addition to any other specific rules posted in a forum section. This post includes information both about the rules, and about the consequences if the rules are broken.

RULES
1. Do not flame, troll, insult, bully, or harass users. Having debates is only fine if you are able to be respectful to everyone involved, including those whom you disagree with.

2. Do not use crude, vulgar, or obscene language. This site is intended to be appropriate for all audiences, so if what you want to say couldn't be in a G rated movie, then you shouldn't say it here.

3. Do not make crude or sexual references.

4. Do not post any images or videos containing graphic violence, sexual content, vulgar language, or drug content.

5. Do not link to any websites that contain graphic violence, sexual content, vulgar language, or drug content.

6. Do not participate in online dating on this website. However, talking about dating is fine, just as long as you aren't making any sexual references.

7. Do not spam. All forum topics should be able to generate some form of discussion. All replies to a forum topic should be relevant to the topic. All posts should have more than one word.

8. Do not ask for or give out any of your personal information, including, but not limited to, your real name, address, phone number, or city.

9. Do not say or do anything illegal under United States law.

10. These rules may be revised at any given time without notice. It is your responsibility to check this topic regularly to ensure that you are up to date with all of the rules. The staff reserve the right to ban or delete your account if you break any of the rules.

CONSEQUENCES
Note: These are in order of least to most severe.

1. A reminder to follow the rules in a forum post or private message.

2. A warning to follow the rules in a private message.

3. A 1 day ban.

4. A 3 day ban.

5. A 7 day ban.

6. A 14 day ban.

7. Account deletion.

Whenever possible, the moderator will hand out the least severe moderation action that would be reasonable. The action will be determined by the severity of the offense, as well as the user's moderation history. In some extreme situations we may not go by this list and skip to harsher actions, including ones that are not listed here.
